What is RapidArc Radiation Therapy?
RapidArc is Varian Medical Systems' commercial trademark for VMAT (Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy). It is a specific implementation of arc therapy designed to run on Varian's TrueBeam, Halcyon and Edge Linac platforms, planned with their proprietary Eclipse treatment planning system.
Like all VMAT, RapidArc delivers radiation continuously while the Linac gantry rotates 360° around the patient.
