Radioiodine therapy is a capsule or drink of radioactive iodine. Thyroid cells take it up, so it destroys thyroid tissue or thyroid cancer cells left after surgery.
It is given at a nuclear medicine centre, which CION arranges for you.
What to expect.

You may follow a low-iodine diet and stop or change thyroid tablets for a short time, as advised.
You swallow the radioiodine at the nuclear medicine centre and follow its safety advice afterwards.
