One plan, made once
Every case at CION goes to a tumour board, where medical, surgical and radiation oncologists agree the plan together. A plan that does not change halfway is a plan you do not pay for twice.
They plan treatment with surgeons and radiation doctors at a tumour board, so it is planned once. Call to check where and when your doctor is in.

Your oncologist tells you
CION's team helps with cashless insurance and gives you a written estimate before you start. Tell them about any government or employer scheme, and they will check it.
The expected cost of your agreed plan, given to you on paper before treatment starts. It is an estimate, not a fixed bill, and the team tells you what could change it.
The insurer pays the centre directly for what the policy covers, so the family pays only the part that is not covered.
Treatment given in a chair or bed during the day, with no overnight stay.

Start with a Consultation
Ask for the doctor you want, or we’ll match you.
CION's medical oncologists see patients at its Hyderabad centres. They are Dr. Naresh Gundu, Dr. N. Kiranmayee, Dr. T. Raghavender Reddy, Dr. C. Raghavendra Reddy and Dr. Owais Mohammed. The care team tells you which doctor is at which centre, and on which days.
Ask yourself which centre you can reach without a long ride when the patient is tired. Families in the north of the city often choose Kompally or Ameerpet. Those in the west often choose Kukatpally, and those in the east L.B. Nagar. Masab Tank, Tolichowki and Banjara Hills may suit families in the south. The care team can help you decide.
Consultations and chemotherapy are given at CION's Hyderabad centres, mostly as day-care. An operation and radiotherapy are not done there. Your CION doctors plan them, and the care team names the centre that does them and gives you its estimate before you agree.
The centres are open Monday to Saturday. Timings differ a little from one centre to another, so the care team confirms them when they book your visit.
Good to know
This page cannot tell you what your treatment will cost. Your reports and a consultation can.

Say what has been found and where you live in Hyderabad. The care team suggests the nearest centre, asks about your insurance or scheme, and books a time.

Every report, scan CD and discharge summary, plus insurance and scheme cards. This saves paying again for tests already done.

The doctor explains what is known and orders only the tests that would change the plan. Then the tumour board agrees one plan.

You get the expected cost in writing and help with cashless insurance. Treatment starts only when you agree.
Myth
What is true: Many families rule it out before seeing a single estimate. Insurance, a scheme the family already holds and day-care treatment can change the figure a great deal. Get the written estimate, then decide.
Myth
What is true: Size does not decide the quality of a plan. A team that plans together at a tumour board matters more. A centre near home also saves the cost of many long journeys.
Myth
What is true: Delay often means more treatment later, which costs more. A first consultation tells you what is needed and what it is likely to cost.
Myth
What is true: Not when you bring recent, clear reports. The oncologist repeats a test only if the answer would change the plan.

Usually the one closest to home. CION has centres at Ameerpet, Kukatpally, Kompally, Masab Tank, L.B. Nagar, Tolichowki and Banjara Hills. Cancer care means many visits, so a short journey saves money and energy. The care team will suggest a centre when you call and tell you which doctor is there.
There is no single figure. The cost depends on the type of cancer, its stage, the treatment chosen and any hospital stay. After the consultation and the tumour board, you receive a written estimate for your own plan before treatment starts, so you can decide with the real number in front of you.
Yes. CION's team helps with cashless insurance and gives you a written estimate before you start. Bring the insurance card, policy papers and the patient's ID to the first visit. The team explains what your insurer needs and helps you send it.
Tell the care team about the scheme when you call and bring the card. They will check what it may cover for the treatment in your plan and tell you plainly. Only the scheme can confirm cover, so we will not promise it before then.
Chemotherapy is given at CION's Hyderabad centres, mostly as day-care, so most patients go home the same evening. Your oncologist tells you in advance if your treatment needs a hospital stay. The care team confirms which centre suits each part of your treatment.
Not at a CION centre. Your CION doctors plan them, and the care team names the centre that does them. You are told where it is and given its estimate before you agree to anything, so the full cost of the plan is known from the start.
It is a small cost next to a full course of treatment, and it can save money if a simpler plan is possible. Bring the plan from the other hospital and every report behind it. A second opinion does not commit you to treatment at CION.
Tell the oncologist before treatment begins. There may be another reasonable treatment, more of it may suit day-care, or your insurance or scheme may carry more of it. An honest talk at the start is far better than stopping treatment halfway because the money ran out.
