Other CION centres in Hyderabad

Someone from our care team calls back, asks what has been found and where, and checks which language suits you. They then book the doctor who fits the reports.

Biopsy reports, scans with their CDs, blood tests, prescriptions and any discharge summary. Put them in date order if you can. Do not leave out the old ones.

The doctor reads everything, examines the patient and tells you what is certain and what is still unclear. Ask them to repeat anything you did not follow.

Some people need a further scan or a fresh biopsy before a plan is safe. You are told which test, why it matters and where it is done.

Medical, surgical and radiation oncologists discuss the case together. You hear the recommendation, the other options and a written estimate before treatment begins.

The organ where the cancer first started. It decides which treatments are likely to work, even if the cancer is now found somewhere else.
Cancer that has spread from where it started to another part of the body, such as the liver, lungs or bones.
One round of chemotherapy followed by a rest gap so the body can recover before the next round.
A blood test checked before each treatment to make sure your body is ready for the next dose.
Another specialist's view of the same reports, to confirm the plan or raise a question before you start.
Consultations and chemotherapy are both given at CION Kompally. If you need an operation or radiotherapy, your doctors plan it here and your care team books it at the centre that does it. You know the place, and the cost, before you agree.
Most people come in during the morning, have a blood test, and then receive their treatment in a day-care chair while nurses keep watch. Most go home the same evening. If your medicines need a hospital stay, the oncologist tells you before the first dose.

Good to know
This page cannot say which doctor suits your case. Your reports can. Send them to our care team and they will book the right specialist.
Myth
What is true: What matters is that your doctor treats your cancer often and plans with other specialists. Consultations and chemotherapy close to home, with surgery and radiotherapy booked where they are done, can give you the same plan with far less travel.
Myth
What is true: A biopsy is how doctors confirm what a growth is and which treatment will work. Skipping it usually means guessing, and guessing is what delays the right treatment.
Myth
What is true: The medicines, doses and gaps between them depend on the cancer, its stage and the patient's health. Two neighbours on chemotherapy may have very different plans and side effects.
Myth
What is true: Time spent on untested remedies can let a treatable cancer grow. If you want to use any remedy alongside treatment, tell your oncologist, because some can interfere with cancer medicines.

Yes. Chemotherapy is given at this centre, mostly as day-care, so you return home the same day. Your blood counts are checked first, and your oncologist tells you in advance if any part of your plan needs a hospital stay.
Neither is done at Kompally. Your CION doctors plan them, and our care team books them at the centre that does them. You are told the name of that centre and given a written estimate before you agree.
The centre is at Suchitra Circle on NH-44, a short walk from the Suchitra Circle bus stop. It is open Monday to Saturday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Call before you come so the doctor you need is there.
CION's team helps with cashless insurance and gives you a written estimate before you start. Bring your insurance card and policy papers to the first visit, and mention any employer or government cover when you call so it can be checked.
Every report you have: biopsy results, scan reports with their CDs, blood tests, prescriptions and discharge summaries. Bring a list of current medicines too. One family member who helps with decisions should come along if possible.
Yes. Bring the plan and the reports behind it. An oncologist will tell you whether they agree and, if not, explain why. Many families find this helps them feel settled before treatment starts. It does not tie you to treatment at CION.
