Day-care chemotherapy
Chemotherapy here is mostly given in a day. Blood counts are checked, the medicine is given and the patient goes home that evening, with no ward bill for the night.
They plan treatment with surgeons and radiation doctors at a tumour board, so it is planned once. Call to check where and when your doctor is in.

Call the helpline or leave your number. The care team asks about the reports, the hospital that found the problem and any insurance or scheme the family holds.

Biopsy reports, scan CDs, blood tests and discharge summaries go in one folder. Tests you already paid for may not need to be done again.

Dr. Naresh Gundu or Dr. N. Kiranmayee reads everything, examines the patient and orders only the tests that would change the plan.

Medical, surgical and radiation oncologists review the case together, so the plan does not change direction later at extra cost.

You receive the written estimate and help with cashless insurance. Treatment begins only once the family agrees.
These do not change the price of a medicine. They stop money going on things that add nothing to the care.

CION's team helps with cashless insurance and gives you a written estimate before you start. Bring the policy papers to the first visit.
If the family holds a government or employer health scheme, the care team checks what it may cover and tells you plainly.
Where more than one reasonable treatment exists, the oncologist explains each one and what it would mean for the family.
Worth asking
The tumour board agrees every part of the treatment at the start, so the family is not paying for a fresh opinion each time something changes.
Every case goes to CION’s network tumour board, where these specialists from CION’s centres join your doctor. Ask for any of them when you book.

Start with a Consultation
Ask for the doctor you want, or we’ll match you.
Consultations and chemotherapy are both given at CION Kompally. An operation and radiotherapy are not. For those, your CION doctors plan the treatment and the care team names the centre that gives it, with its estimate, before you agree.
Because the tumour board plans every part of the treatment at once, the family can see the whole picture before anything starts. That matters when an operation or radiotherapy will follow chemotherapy. You are not surprised by a second large bill halfway through.
CION Cancer Clinics, H.No. 2-181/2/C, Suchitra Circle, NH-44, Kompally, Hyderabad 500067. It is a short walk from the Suchitra Circle bus stop. The centre is open Monday to Saturday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
Raise it at the first visit. A doctor who knows the family's limits can plan the order of tests with care and keep more of the treatment in day-care. Stopping treatment halfway because the money ran out is far worse for the patient than an honest talk at the start.

This page cannot tell you what your treatment will cost. Your reports, and a consultation, can.
Consider this first: Bring the old one; it may be recent enough

Myth
What is true: Consultations and chemotherapy are given at CION Kompally, and the plan is made by a full tumour board. Only an operation or radiotherapy is arranged at another centre, and you are told where before you agree.
Myth
What is true: A written estimate before treatment lets you see the expected cost up front. The team also tells you what could change it, so there is no guessing.
Myth
What is true: Even partial cover can lower what the family pays. Let the care team check the policy against your plan.
Myth
What is true: Cancer that is left can grow and need more treatment, which usually costs more. A first consultation tells you where you stand.

The cost depends on the type of cancer, its stage, the treatment chosen and whether a hospital stay is needed, so no honest figure fits everyone. After the consultation and the tumour board, you receive a written estimate for your own plan before treatment starts. Day-care chemotherapy near home helps keep it lower.
Medical oncologists Dr. Naresh Gundu and Dr. N. Kiranmayee see patients at CION Kompally. They plan chemotherapy and other cancer medicines and take part in the tumour board with CION's surgical and radiation oncologists. Call ahead so the doctor you want is in that day.
CION's team helps with cashless insurance and gives you a written estimate before you start. Bring the insurance card, policy papers and the patient's ID. The team tells you what your insurer needs and helps you send it, so the claim is not held up by a missing paper.
Tell the care team about it when you first call, and bring the card or letter. They will check what the scheme may cover for your treatment and tell you plainly. Only the scheme can confirm cover, so we will not promise it before it does.
Usually not. Chemotherapy at CION Kompally is mostly given as day-care, so the patient goes home the same evening. Some medicines do need a stay. If yours is one of them, the oncologist tells you in advance and it is part of the written estimate.

Yes. Bring every report and scan CD, even the ones you think are out of date. The oncologist repeats a test only if it is unclear, too old or would change the plan. Families who bring everything usually spend less in the first weeks.
Yes. Bring the plan and the reports behind it. An oncologist will say whether they agree, whether a simpler option exists and why. Many families do this before committing to a large cost. It does not tie you to treatment at CION.
